- 1 lb. ground beef

- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup water
- Shredded cheddar cheese, for serving (optional)
- Chopped fresh cilantro, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion, garlic, green and red bell peppers, and jalapeno pepper to the pot and cook until the vegetables are soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and water to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Bring the chili to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until the flavors have melded together and the chili has thickened to your liking.
- Serve the chili hot, topped with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped cilantro, if desired.
